Circe and Ipomea

seem like the title of a song of. Instead
is a story that starts in the garden, a lazy August morning.
before breakfast, returning from the walk with buboni, I like to copy the custom of the tribe to control the canine area: a ride with his head down for the whole "property", nose to the ground, ears, tail high. Of course I do not high tail is fine, even the nose to the ground to be honest ... but with my limited human senses seek, look, smell, touch, listen. Sometimes I discover new things: a strange bug, never seen before, a special light that brings out the purple flowers of lavender, the magpies that giggle on the chestnut tree at the bottom of the vegetable ... This morning, instead my attention was caught by a purple patch in the middle of a messy clump of leaves that climb on the net. Yesterday was not there and now he is there, to attract my attention. I go over and see a beautiful flower and unknown:
Ipomea.

It 's the first year that we plant climbing this year, that we were in love while on holiday in South Tyrol. There, however, the flower was completely different ... I really did not expect.
surprises me, apart from the large size of the corolla, the perfection of the lines and the contrast of purple and white for a surprising beauty, that makes you think of the skill and greatness of nature, which is tender and warm the heart. A gift in the early morning.

And Circe? Well, Circe you present it right away: she is a creature that Mother Nature has sent to earth to soften the hearts and brighten the days of late summer. Here it is:

... is not fantastic? And 'the latest addition to the zoo ... imported nothing less than a pound of Naples. A sweet and lively ball of fur three months, which is already straining the patience of his uncles hairy.

Finally, despite the new arrivals, the sedentary and the heat that has come back strongly, I could continue my work of spinning. Here are the latest additions:

are the threads that I got from dyed wool that had previously shown.
What do you say, not bad right?
